Earlier this year the Ypsilanti (Mi) Public School Board retired the high school’s Braves nickname and the logo depicting a male Indian with a mowhawk cut after complaints that it demeaned Native Americans, blah, blah, blah. The board also indicated that it would not choose a new name until October 22, meaning that the the football team will be nameless and mascot-less midway through the season.
Until that time, the following stickers have been ordered and will be placed on the team’s football helmets.
