Here’s a nifty site to generate meta tags that provide geographical position info. Including these will get a site indexed by sites such GeoURL (at least I think that’s how it works.)
The easiest way I found to create the tags is to enter your ZIP code at the bottom of the page and click the “Use US ZIP Code” button next to it. This will display your town, Lat., Long., etc. in the frame above. Then click the “Convert” button in the upper frame. This will generate the tags in the upper right frame. Then just copy and paste the tags into the head section of your page.
Was Google offline this morning? I tried everything… the Google Firefox start page, Gmail, Froogle, Google Maps and, of course, the home page. Nothing. And from several different computers. Nothing about it on any news sites. I finally got my Google-cravings satisfied after lunch. Weird.

If you’re using FireFox (and if not, you’re missing out) and you’re tired of seeing the default windows logo in the taskbar, here’s a beautiful icon to install.
