The $357,000 Photo…

scareforceone

…that looks like it was taken with the F-16 pilot’s $99 point-n-shoot camera. Low resolution, terrible color, foreground obstructions, windscreen reflections and, fergodsake, New Jersey in the background. Nothing against NJ, but for that price tag, we could have at least gotten a photo with the skyline of the city that this stunt scared the hell out of.

What Media Bias?

no comment

Remember Mark Foley? Sure you do. He was hammered by the media and eaten by his own when the Florida Republican Congressman was nailed with a sex scandal involving a congressional page in 2006.

Fast forward two years. Now Tim Mahoney, the Democrat who replaced Foley after Foley rightfully stepped down, is involved in a sex scandal of his own. Oh, you didn’t hear about that one? It’s only because we’re in the middle of an election campaign you say?

Sorry, Foley’s scandal broke on September 26, right before the 2006 Congressional elections. The mainstream media just can’t be interrupted from their Palin witch-hunt.

The Largest Reenlistment Ceremony Ever

no comment

On the 4th of July, 2008, the largest reenlistment ceremony in military history was held at Al Faw Palace, Baghdad, Iraq. The ceremony, consisting of 1215 brave soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen, ready to continue and complete their mission, was officiated by General David Petraeus.

This is the first time I’ve heard of the event. Thank you mainstream media!

Search for: “Bristol Palin pregnant” and count the number of results.

Then do the same for “Ashley Biden arrested“.

Then define the word “bias”.

From Tax Break To Tax Hike

no comment

The political vision of a summer gas tax holiday died a quick death in Congress, losing to a view that federal excise taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel — far from dropping — will have to go up if they go anywhere.

Despite calls from the presidential campaign trail for a Memorial Day-to-Labor Day tax freeze, lawmakers quickly concluded — with a prod from the construction industry — that having $9 billion less to spend on highways could create a pre-election specter of thousands of lost jobs.

Now, lawmakers quietly are talking about raising fuel taxes by a dime from the current 18.4 cents a gallon on gasoline and 24.3 cents on diesel fuel. -Fox News

If us peasants can’t afford gas as it is, how is another hike at the gas pump going to keep the highway trust fund out of the red?

Government collects more tax on a gallon of gas than the oil companies make in profit, yet we see who Congress points the finger of blame at at. I didn’t know that colleges offered degrees in hypocrisy, but it appears that this is the degree that is required to get a job at the Capitol Building.

It was Democrat Bill Clinton who claimed to “feel your pain.” It is now the Democrat-controlled Congress who inflicts it.

Jackass of the day

A German judge has ordered a Volvo dealer to compensate a man with big feet because there was not enough space around his new car’s accelerator pedal, a court spokesman said Monday. The man, a traveling salesman, sought and won a 5-per-cent reduction in the price of his Volvo C70 coupe by arguing that his leather shoes, European size 47 for a foot 29.4 centimetres long, did not fit beneath the dashboard.

Hey Sasquatch, on behalf of the car-buying public, thanks for giving the auto manufacturers another cause to raise the price of a new car.

Steven King – Here There Be Lyars

Steven King, speaking in front of high school students:

I don’t want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don’t, then you’ve got, the Army, Iraq, I don’t know, something like that. It’s, it’s not as bright. So, that’s my little commercial for that.

Mr. K, may I bring you out of your fantasy world – I can guarantee that the average soldier can read better than anyone at a job that you can just “walk on.” It’s called the ASVAB. Do your research. You know how.

FSU quarterback yanked

I remember back in 1988, when Peter Tom Willis stepped in for for injured quarterback Chip Ferguson vs South Carolina and passed for about 250 yard in a blow-out. Not bad for a backup, huh. Since that game, PT has always been my all-time favorite Florida State QB (yes, even over the legendary Charlie Ward.) So, when it was announced in 1998 that PT would be the new color analyst for FSU football, I was really pumped. Now we find out that, after nine seasons, it has been annouced that PT’s contract with the Seminoles Sports Network will not be renewed. It seems that he was just a little too critical of the team’s play in recent years. Okay, let’s review, 2007: 7-6, 2006: 7-6, 2005: 8-5. Perhaps for a team that has won two national titles in the past 15 years, those are records unworthy of criticism?

It has also been rumored that his replacement would likely be from a list of other former players. Now who in the hell would want to step into THAT snake pit? Sorry, but I don’t want a color analyst who is just an ex-FSU yes man, announcing the game through garnet & gold colored glasses. Here’s an idea for you, SSN: put the color man on tape delay. If he says something that the Nole PC police don’t like, just cover it up with… the Nole Chant!!! Everything would be just absolutely rosy then.

I See Ya PT!

Eliot Spitzer (R) not (D)

Eliot Spitzer (R) not (D)

Amazing that the main stream media can never find the D on their keyboard when a Democrat gets in trouble, but they sure can find the R quick enough even if it’s not a Republican.

As an exercise, google the phrase “spitzer (d)” to see how many times that exact phrase appears on a MSM site.
